Gun Pro’s new Delta 1 Sights offer a simple single point sight alignment that requires little or no visual and mental estimation delivering a lightning fast, precise sight alignment. Delta 1 Sights® provide a superb open sight picture and panoramic view so that the shooter can easily provide a shot placement quickly, easily, and accurately at a still or moving target as needed in IPSC, IDPA type shooting sports, hunting, or more importantly, defending one’s life or the life of a loved one.
With the alignment of traditional “iron sights” available today, their use is a timely, inaccurate process due to the requirement of lining up three points of a sight picture; i.e. the vertical alignment of the front sight post with both sides of the notch in the rear sight blade and the horizontal alignment of the top of the front sight post with the top of the rear sight blade. This timely process inhibits quick and accurate acquisition of the target and aiming of the firearm. Additionally, because the rear sight design is of large mass and opaque in structure, it tends to obscure the view of portions of the intended target and/or the area surrounding the target, thereby further inhibiting quick and accurate acquisition of a target, especially when a shooter or target is moving. Precise shots are needed in real life threatening situations that could arise or, simple quick and precise shots that will be needed in Steel Plate, IPSC or IDPA style shooting sports.
A number of variations of the “iron sights” are known. However, all of these variations have a common and consistent theme, wherein they all have open spaces or gaps which are the only references for proper alignment. Hence, proper alignment and aiming of the respective firearm is time consuming, requires visual and mental estimation, and the sights obscure the view of portions of the target and/or the area surrounding the target, thereby inhibiting quick and accurate acquisition of the target and aiming of the firearm.
Delta 1 Sights not only eliminates the need for multiple alignments, but also provides an improved, more open sight picture.
