The Armasight Vulcan 4.5x features an auto shutoff technology that will power down the unit if it receives no input for 60 minutes as a safeguard in case the unit is left on after use. The unit also protects itself by shutting down if exposed to excessive ambient light and returns to an active state once removed from the light source, preventing damage to the Image Intensifier Tube (IIT).
